Stellar Rosette Medallion — Eight-Point Floral Arabesque

About this design

The design is anchored by a tight eight-petalled rosette at its centre, from which successive rings of interlocking floral arabesques expand outward in perfect radial symmetry. Each concentric layer introduces new motifs — lotus buds, split-leaf palmettes, and scrolling vine tendrils — building density toward a scalloped outer lobe that terminates in eight pointed cartouche tips. The repeat structure is a single-medallion drop, making it equally effective as a standalone feature panel or tiled across a broad nave floor.

This pattern is particularly well-suited to main prayer halls where a central focal point anchors the congregational space, and to mihrab walls where the radial geometry draws the eye toward the qibla. The refined arabesque vocabulary also translates beautifully into corridor runners when the medallion is cropped and bordered.
