About this design

The design is anchored by a single dominant circular medallion composed of four concentric zones. At the heart sits a compact rosette of interlocking spiral scrolls, enclosed within a twelve-pointed star formed by sharp ogee petals. The second ring expands outward with dense rumi arabesques and cloud-band scrolls, while a beaded rope border acts as a crisp visual boundary before the outermost ring of sweeping acanthus volutes and paired leaf sprays. The entire composition radiates with perfect eight-fold symmetry.

The medallion's corona dissolves into twelve projecting floral finials that break the circular frame, giving the motif a starburst silhouette ideal for centering under a dome or at the focal point of a main prayer hall. Its contained, non-repeating structure also makes it an outstanding single-panel statement piece for mihrab walls or elevated platform areas where a strong visual anchor is required.
