Celestial Rosette — Layered Medallion with Botanical Crown

About this design

This design presents a single, large circular medallion structured in eight or more concentric registers. The innermost ring features a tight starburst rosette encircled by small rosette clusters; successive rings expand outward through interlocking arabesques, scrolling cloud-band motifs, and densely packed floral heads. Each transition between registers is marked by a crisp geometric outline, giving the composition a disciplined, almost architectural rhythm despite its organic floral vocabulary.

The outermost register breaks into a scalloped corona of large pointed leaves and branching botanical sprays, softening the circular boundary and creating a naturalistic fringe effect. The overall silhouette is a near-perfect circle, making it ideal as a focal-point medallion carpet for a mosque's main prayer hall or as a prestige piece positioned directly beneath a central dome. The design also adapts well to mihrab-wall accent rugs where a single commanding motif is desired.

For importers: the circular format is produced in standard square and rectangular cuts with the medallion centred and a plain-field surround; custom aspect ratios are available from our atelier with a minimum order of 200 m². The design is available in heat-set polypropylene and BCF nylon constructions, both compliant with EN 13501-1 fire classification requirements.
