Radiant Wheel Medallion with Ottoman Arabesque Surround
A bold cartwheel medallion at the centre radiates spoke-like petals outward, encircled by dense, symmetrical arabesque scrollwork and acanthus-leaf flourishes.
About this design
The focal point is a large circular medallion built around a multi-spoke cartwheel motif whose radiating lobed petals are framed by a fine rope-twist border ring. From this nucleus, four-way symmetrical arabesque scrollwork expands in an elliptical field, weaving together curling acanthus leaves, split-palmette fans, and spiralling tendrils that interlock without a visible repeat seam, creating the impression of a single continuous organic burst.
The overall oval composition and the radial energy of the central wheel make this design ideal for the main prayer hall, where it anchors the qibla axis visually, and equally powerful on a mihrab wall carpet where the spoke geometry echoes arch tracery. The dense arabesque fill also translates well to wide corridor runners when the medallion is cropped to a half-drop repeat.
Available in ten standard colorways; custom colorway matching is supported with a minimum order of 300 m². The design is woven to meet EN 13501-1 fire-classification requirements, and digital repeat files are supplied with every order to assist local installers with seam alignment.
