Radiant Rosette Medallion — Dense Arabesque Center-Medallion Design

About this design

The design is anchored by a tight lotus rosette at its geometric centre, from which eight principal axes radiate outward through concentric rings of interlocking arabesque scrollwork. Each ring alternates between densely packed palmette clusters and sinuous vine tendrils, creating a rhythmic expansion that fills the circular field without a single unoccupied zone. The outermost ring resolves into a continuous scalloped cartouche border punctuated by stylised floral finials.

This pattern language — rooted in classical Ottoman and Safavid medallion traditions — makes the design a natural focal point for a mosque's main prayer hall, where a single large-format carpet can anchor the entire interior. The radial symmetry also reads well on the mihrab wall when the carpet is oriented with the central axis aligned to the qibla direction. Narrower corridor runners can be produced by extracting a lateral band from the repeat.

For importers: the design is supplied as a fully scalable vector repeat, allowing production in any hall dimension without visible seaming at the medallion.
