About this design
This design pairs an expansive, unadorned field with a single strong horizontal border band positioned at the lower register. The border features a continuous repeat of interlocking octagonal and cross-knot geometric units — a classic Islamic strapwork pattern — framed by two narrow guard stripes that sharpen the transition between field and ornament.
The minimalist field maximises visual calm across large congregational spaces, while the structured border provides directional orientation for worshippers. This balance makes the design especially well-suited to main prayer halls, wide saff layouts, and corridor runners where uncluttered sightlines are a priority.
