About this design

The design presents a clean, open field anchored by two distinct horizontal ornamental bands. The upper band carries a lighter, repeating frieze of stylised lotus buds and small fan-shaped florets arranged in a continuous rhythmic sequence. The lower band is substantially wider and more elaborate, composed of densely interlocking acanthus leaves, tulip heads and scrolling stems that form a rich, symmetrical botanical border.

This saff-format layout is ideally suited to main prayer halls where long rows of worshippers require clear, uninterrupted saf lines. The plain central field maximises visual calm between the decorative strips, while the bold lower border anchors the carpet visually against the mosque floor. The design also works well in wide corridors and entrance galleries where a strong horizontal rhythm reads effectively across the full width.
