Medallion Border Strip — Interlaced Star Rosette Saff Design
A clean open-field saff carpet anchored by a continuous horizontal border of interlaced star rosette medallions linked by geometric chain connectors.
About this design
The field is a broad, uninterrupted plain expanse that draws the eye downward to a structured border band running the full width of the carpet. The border features a repeating sequence of eight-pointed star rosettes enclosed within interlaced circular frames, each medallion connected to the next by a compact geometric link motif, creating a rhythmic chain-like horizontal repeat.
This layout is ideally suited to main prayer halls where rows of worshippers require clear saf (prayer-row) definition without visual distraction during prostration. The restrained field also works well along corridor approaches and transitional spaces leading to the mihrab wall, where a calm, uncluttered surface is preferred.
For importers: the design is produced in a standard broadloom width with the border positioned at the foot of each saf row, allowing straightforward installation alignment. Available in 10 colorways; EN 13501-1 fire classification documentation supplied on request.
