Flowing Tulip Arch Border — Clean-Field Saff Design
A plain open field anchored by a continuous arch-and-tulip border strip. Timeless Ottoman motifs in a minimal, high-impact repeat ideal for large mosque interiors.
About this design
The field is intentionally unadorned, offering a calm, expansive surface that draws the eye toward the lower register. There, a bold continuous border runs the full width: interlocking pointed arches rise from a narrow baseline band, each arch cradling a stylised tulip-and-leaf medallion. The motifs connect through scrolling ogee curves, creating an unbroken rhythmic chain with strong vertical emphasis.
This saff-format layout suits main prayer halls where row alignment is paramount, as the plain field keeps sightlines clear while the border marks the prayer-row edge with authority. The arch motif also resonates naturally along mihrab walls and corridor runners, reinforcing the architectural vocabulary of the space.
For importers: the design tiles seamlessly across standard broadloom widths, minimising offcut waste during installation. Available in ten ready-stock colorways; custom colorway development is supported with a minimum order quantity. EN 13501-1 fire-classification documentation available on request.
