Selçuk Tracery Border — Saff Plain Field Strip
A vast plain saff field anchored by a single continuous Seljuk-style arabesque border strip, blending minimalist calm with intricate classical tracery.
About this design
The design presents an expansive, uninterrupted plain field that dominates the carpet surface, creating a serene and meditative prayer space. At the lower edge, a single horizontal border band runs the full width, featuring a densely interlaced arabesque motif: pointed arch forms, scrolling tendrils, and stylised floral finials repeat in a tight lateral sequence, framed by a fine outline rule above and below.
This format is ideally suited to main prayer halls where rows of worshippers require an uncluttered saf layout, as well as to corridor installations where a strong directional border anchors the length of the space. The restrained field-to-border ratio also makes it a natural companion piece alongside more ornate mihrab-wall panels.
Available in ten ready-stock colorways, rolls are supplied in standard 4 m widths with selvedge-finished edges for straightforward on-site seaming. EN 13501-1 fire-classification documentation is available upon request.
