Saf Pointed-Arch Colonnade with Ornate Pillar Repeat
Classic saff design featuring pointed mihrab arches supported by richly decorated columns, with a suspended medallion pendant and a dense floral border strip.
About this design
This saf carpet presents a repeating row of tall pointed arches, each resting on elaborately patterned columns adorned with stacked geometric and floral cartouches. A teardrop-shaped hanging medallion pendant is centered within every arch opening, anchoring the prayer niche motif and guiding the worshipper's gaze upward. The arch spandrels carry delicate branching foliage, reinforcing the classical Ottoman arcade aesthetic.
The design is ideally suited to main prayer halls where a continuous saff layout is required, as the column-and-arch repeat aligns worshippers naturally in rows. The strong vertical rhythm also makes it an excellent choice for wide mihrab walls and generous side aisles. A compact running-floral border at the foot of the field provides a clean visual terminus without interrupting the arcade flow.
Available in 8 colorways, this design is woven to EN 13501-1 fire-classification standards. Importers should note that the repeat width is engineered to accommodate standard mosque-row spacing, simplifying on-site installation and minimizing cut waste.
